Lights, Camera.. “Action”

Hi, so if you’ve checked in to the blog lately you’re probably wondering “WTF” given it would seem nothing has been posted here for almost 2 months!

Well a. we’ve been really, really busy, b. the marketing guy lost the ability to write and c. the web guy is in the Middle East and has been unable to edit and/or tweak the other posts, from the other guy, who offered to write for the other guy.. convoluted? Yeah, kinda!!!!

Anyhooo, the original guy who’s finally smashed through his writing block is back, so here he goes. Blah blah etcetera, etcetera.

Q: Does anybody care are about the hollywood actors tearing around town causing a hullabaloo wherever they go? A: We do and we don’t and here are some reasons why.

The first and most obvious is i (me at least) don’t really know what you look like. You could be sat across from me in Sine or at the Hill cafe and I really would be blind to the fact that you’re there, the only giveaway is everybody else clucking around you.

The second is that we are now working for the production crew (Office Seekers) and supplying coffee to the cast and crew members on the shoot! It basically means now I DO know what you look like.. English, that is D-Day, that is Steven Spielberg, David Costabile (Breaking Bad) who I did geek out a little over! Still, I’m now no longer interested at this stage. Plus there is the fact we had to sign an non-disclosure after a certain member of staff figuratively “spilled the beans” on what SS liked to drink! Slap on wrist etc. My point is Lincoln or “Mr President” no longer fazes me.

Being able to provide such a bespoke service has in fact worked in our favor. Yesterday we worked on location for another production being shot out near Colonial Williamsburg . All I’m saying on this is. Pirates and the 1600′s. Details to follow.

Maybe this will be a new thing for the Black Hand Coffee Company? The boss is talking location, location, location.. whereas I’m just glad to see us doing our bit and it’s hugely appreciated! Perhaps he’s right, and perhaps we’ve tapped in to a market that isn’t so “hip” in Richmond but probably far cooler!
