The new year is obviously the most appropriate time to start a fresh, set new goals and for some, it’s even time to write a list – that for at least a month you’re resolute on sticking to for a whole 365 days?!  Well, I’m going to suggest just one thing that you should do and it’s support your local coffee shop!

We acknowledge that you might not be able to make it in everyday or even every week, BUT, if you can help us by dropping in as you normally would and then by sharing something you see us post online (facebook, twitter) and/or just mention us to a friend, a friends friend or even a stranger .. Then that is all we need from you in 2012.

We had a great year last year, the summer was HOT and we’re looking at ideas to generate more traffic ., maybe even some outside seating, chilled.. chilling etc.  The cooler months though were great. We provided coffee to the “Lincoln” crew (we’re available for catering gigs – pass it on) and at the very end of the year we took part in a taste-off and won!

NEWS: If you didn’t see this ‘taste-off’ post (Dec) it basically means that now www.hardywood.com are going brew a Reserve Series and will blend it with our coffee in early 2012!  Expect a batch or three.. We’re very excited and you’ll be hearing more about this for sure  - pass it on “insert smiley face”

I had this idea (see pic) but i’m not sure how it’s going to go down with the management.. Technically, It wasn’t even my idea but I don’t think the store on the West coast would ever know if we change up the menu items/daily offers?   If you have any ideas you’d like us to consider send them here info@blackhandcoffeeco.com

Finally, some of you might have actually tried to reduce your coffee intake as part of your 2012 resolutions? If this is the case then we’ll see you in Feb, if we don’t see you in Feb, then all we ask for is you to tell someone how damn great we are .. local coffee, local business.. RVA!
